But you seem content to argue about whether I'm trying to argue. Discussing different points of views and pointing out the flaws in each other's thinking is not the same as arguing. I'm not remotely angry, nor am I shouting down.

I don't understand why you think you can claim this will be a disaster without anyone with different points of view challenging that idea. Places like this exist for the sole purpose of discussing common interests. If you're not willing to engage beyond posting your ideas then complaining about people who question them, then what's the point of coming here?
