The point of the strategy is to create an image of Trump as someone who only cares about Wall Street, etc. and doesn't care about the little people, the young, etc. Voters vote on perception, which may or may not reflect reality.
Suburban women tend to find Trump distasteful. All the strategy purports to do is given them a sufficient reason to actually vote their personal feelings.
Biden is approaching senility and is subject to the attack, that what one is really doing by voting for him is voting for his vice president.
Cuomo and Newson are the choices because they can be presented as the governors of the two largest states, the two "leaders" who actually dealt with the coronavirus.
