relative was getting cancer treatments & everyone who interacted with her was asked to get one for her protection as her immune system was suppressed at the time.
I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle too, though I don't get as much exercise as I used to & am now on a high fat diet that includes quite a bit of meat, including red meat.
At least one science writer maintains that shouldn't be bad for one's health. I've also read a doctor or two who maintain that saturated fats & cholesterol in the diet are not risk factors for circulatory disease.
I do think that even a healthy immune system is no guarantee against illness from viruses. On the other hand, there are those who claim that vaccines can cause more problems than they prevent. Not sure, but my tendency is to avoid them for the most part.
