Did the reffing change the game or the game force the refs

to call clear fouls? The style of the games have changed. Today there is a lot of iSO dribble drives and pick & rolls for offenses and less set pieces like we saw in that video. That's why refs call more fouls. Because there are more fouls with those type of plays.
I also feel like the game today is completely different because the players are so much bigger, stronger, and faster and they play to their strong suits. Look at a guy like Stipanovich and compare him to a guy like Nikko today. Clearly Stipanovich is much more skilled but I would wager than Nikko is stronger than Stipanovich. Hell, compare a freshman like Kobe Brown to Jordan in that video. The physical difference is staggering. Both are a similar height.
