Gabe DeArmond, amongst many, has the mindset of predicting mediocrity as a means of feeling above the crowd. Anyone can say we should expect to win. It is not a sign of genius. And Tennessee, kept building a bigger stadium so they weren't drawing those numbers back in the day. So it's something you build, and keep building, and you don't stop. And when you lose, you don't say "well we're only so good".
As far as lowering the seating, it's a mistake. I get it they want those money boxes. They only produce money if we're winning. We win, attendance goes back up and stays steady, they'll build the North End. The grass will go, hopefully keep the M, and take it upwards. 2015 really took the wind out of our sails. But F that. Mizzou got a taste of winning and whoever wants to go back to eating oatmeal go support Missouri State I say (not directed at you). Check out Kentucky and their fanbase. Amazing what winning can do as far as pursuing dreams.
