keep the entire staff intact and just keep the program running smoothly.

Only coordinator change would be at d-coord while he took over head coaching duties.

Instead... he came in treating it like it was ku's program.

got rid of pretty much every coordinator. Kept Hill b.c Hill was a Larry/Barry guy from before Pinkel. He kept Walters who he brought with him from Memphis in 2015. He kept Cornell Ford... the only true Pinkel coordinator.

That's ****ing unbelievable.

When he immediately starting erasing the Pinkel era, I didn't jump down his throat. I was willing to see how it would work out.

Well, we saw what a disaster it was.

He needlessly went 4-8 his first year, because of nonsensical changes to a dominant defense.

He had a couple of Larry Smith-like winning seasons in 2017-2018, because of Drew Lock and Emmanuel Hall - Pinkel's old staff's recruits.

Unfortunately, once year 4 got here and the program was totally Odom's creation, it was disastrous. He didn't recruit or develop a HS QB or WR the entire time he was here.

On top of it, he demolished recruiting, destroyed our previously developed relationships and relinquished in-state recruiting to the likes of Illinois.

Odom seemed to have the best resume. Grad assistant, recruiting coordinator, program coordinator, position coach, coordinator... to head coach.

As it turns out.. practically anyone else on Pinkel's 2015 staff or before (especially Grinch) would have been a better choice than Odom.

I understand the hire. I might have made the same mistake and hired him too.

Learn from mistakes.

Drinkowitz may be a total disaster. or he may be great. We need a few seasons of games to decide that.

But there is no doubt, from everyone with a pulse, there is a different, better, more positive energy since Drink arrived.

The remaining coaches say it. The HS coaches say it. The players returning say it. The local recruits that experienced both staffs say it (less on lineman). The fans say it.

Drink is a little dorky. But the reason it works is because he doesn't care and isn't embarrassed about it and therefore we don't get embarrassed for him. He uses it to his advantage (i.e. he knows how to turn possible negative energy into positive energy to his favor).

Some people are born to lead because people are magnetized to their aura.

He appears to be one of those types.
