Sounds good, until you realize the only people who will starve are folks like you and me, taxes or no.
Let's say you got your wish, POOF, no taxes. Do you think your boss is going to give you a raise now? Do you think your quality of life is going to drastically change over a few thousand bucks a year?
Nope, you'd still make the same amount of money, you'd be buying the same class of car, your kids would go to the same class of school.
Meanwhile folks on the street are extremely desperate because some of them are going to starve to death, they rely on government programs to help them. So what choice do they have now? Desperate people do desperate things and there are suddenly MILLIONS of desperate people.
Cut corporate welfare, tax the mcdonalds, and the walmart's for every single employee they have that mooches off the government because they don't pay living wages.
We subsidize these businesses by paying for their employees, the same employees that make so little that they have to then shop at their employer because they can't afford anything else. It's a never ending cycle.
Perhaps if we never had this stupid ****ing never ending war on terror that cost this country trillions, we could have actually used that money to make a system that WORKS. Slash the ever growing budget of the pentagon.
Perhaps if we use tax money better and more efficiently... nah that's all crazy talk.
