Part of the problem in the region is that there are no actors with clean hands. Even Israel, who we repeatedly give a pass to, because they're under constant threat and how would we react in such circumstances.

The Kurds opened the door to us getting out by doing stupid stuff too. We've just always considered them a lesser among evils. I do not get the support for Erdogan though - the guy seems to be legitimately a bad actor.
