(2) He's at DUKE, the bluest of blue bloods, and the school that would benefit the most from pay-for-play.
(3) Name the "dozens" of states that are going to pass similar legislation. Other than New York (with no major college teams) and a couple Pac-12 states, who's going to follow suit?
None of the SEC states.
None of the B1G states.
None of the ACC states.
None of the Big12 states.
There's also a good chance the (now conservative) Supreme Court will nullify these state laws before they take effect. Even if they don't, CA lawmakers will feel tremendous pressure from constituents after the NCAA disqualifies their universities from competition and the rest of the nation laughs at them.
