But it is emblematic of the left's WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING attitude which is not at all about saving the planet but about signaling their virtue to anyone who will pay attention.

Buggy whips, VCRs, outhouses and B&W television. Technology moved us past all those. If it's the same for plastic straws, fine.

I just think that eliminating PS are a way for weak minded people who scream at the sky when their candidate doesn't win, to let everyone know how much they care.
