One of the better late night calls was a car/pedestrian

hit and run on the same road near where Bass Pro is now.
Get there and a guy is laying in the middle of KC Road and his legs appear to be covered in blood. Other officer kneels beside him and goes to open and eye to check his pupil and see if he's even alive. Guy opens both eyes and sits up while we're trying to push him back down thinking he must have serious injuries.
Turns out he'd been drinking at the same bar where that previous crash happened months before and he had no DL as he lost it in a previous DUI. He decided to jog home. Only he passed out and ran into a ditch full of muddy water, into a barbed wire fence, back through the ditch a second time, and came to rest in the middle of the road.
And of the day, he still got arrested. Intoxicated pedestrian on the roadway.
And a copy of the report to his probation officer.
