Maybe more than one could do it. Walk 1,000 combined miles over XXX number of days. They don't even have to go to Wyoming. They could do it locally. While not literally walking to Wyoming, it would be a gesture in the same vein. This is actually kind of a good idea, and it would be really good PR for the program.

It's just a walk-a-thon, which is already done by a few organizations so people are familiar with the concept.
