Supplement policy which is the better choice. In case you didn’t know Medicare Advantage is private sector insurance and typically has higher out of pocket costs. Medicare with supplemental coverage F(private sector)has little if any out of pocket. While Medicare pays 80%, that amount is heavily reduced. An actual example from personal experience are claims my wife had for procedures requiring hospitalization. Hospital and doctor billed in excess of $50k that was reduced to $4100 of which Medicare paid 80% and supplemental 20%. We had no out of pocket.
