the method of proof known as the expenditure method is being used. The OP about pictures not being allowed is not a big deal. The jury will hear testimony from sellers of goods/services and in deliberation view the invoices and a tabulation of that total vs reported income and other evidence that eliminates non texable sources-so yes proving wealth is part of the evidence, but taxes paid is the issue.
