college basketball than as a shooting guard. He's a decent enough ball handler and distributor to handle the point. I'd rather him be the backup point guard but we don't have that luxury. If CM is ok with him dispensing those duties, that's fine. What Geist is not is a guy who can create a shot nor a guy who can catch and shoot. He's probably more of a mid major 2 guard who can play the point some in P5 basketball. He needs to be surrounded by better players and he was last year but not sure that will be the case this year. The front line will be better I think but the backcourt options he had last year will not be there next season. I think Geist will have a very different year - more competent at the point than last year but I suspect his shooting percentage will go down due to the absence of Robertson and Barnett.
