Our first priority is to our own citizens. But we have the ability because of our capitalist system of government and our compassion and our human decency to G.A.S. about the rest of the world.
When we can stop or mitigate suffering, war or tyranny, i feel we have a moral obligation to do so.
You say what we do costs far more than we get back. WADR, that's silly. What would WWIII on the korean peninsula cost us in terms of trade and aid? And how much would we have to build up our military to prepare for china or the haircut to attack, with conventional weapons or nukes?
