the one provided serves well enough.
it's folks either not elected or who have been elected and served long enough that they feel they know what's best for the country and put their agenda in front of elected folks; there are outside (private) folks involved; the Fed, the banking and finance systems of the US - and of course, anyone who influences them or who can benefit.
It means when you overpower (grotesquely) the federal gvmt, the checks and balances are blown to pieces and the massive, ongoing activities like the military/industrial complex (which requires a non-stop stream of enemies and scares), the monetary supply, the entitlements are all securely managed outside of direct impact by a rogue POTUS or even a congressional voting block.
R's and D's are a facade; lip service. Keep you bantering over, well, the stuff you banter and care about.
