great. Very highly driven individuals. LBJ, Durant and a few have improved different areas of their game to be great. Kobe worked extremely hard. First one in the gym and the last one out.
Anthony Davis said once he was named to the Olympic Team, having just won the 2012 National Championship for #8 for Kentucky, he didn’t know what to expect. Going from college to a team with LeBron, Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant etc. He said Melo and Kobe helped him out the most, teaching him on and off the court in London. After a few days Davis thought he’d get up some extra shots so he went to the gym at 6 am. He spotted Kobe who was already at a full sweat. He learned Kobe had been in the gym since 3 am. After that he learned himself what it takes to be a special player.
AD is now known to be the last man to leave the gym. If it is after a game he is the last to shower and leave. He’s too busy watching on a computer the game he just played. He looks for his mistakes, other players patterns.
Back to Kobe, he and Shaq fought a lot over Shaq being fat or unwilling to put time in the gym.
