from the 80s and 90s with kids in the league today. I can only think of a handful.
Genetics play a small part in it. Your odds of making the NBA are helped when you are above a certain height but your skillset and drive are way, way more important in becoming an elite player. And that skillset and competitive drive were undoubtedly shaped by the Porters' parents.
