They can't ever draw social security or their spouses social security.

They pay for insurance and for family insurance the rates are horrific because each district is a pretty small group to get coverage on.

They have mandatory continuing education of about $1500 a year to keep their license.

$75000 for someone with an advanced degree is appropriate.
