And in some states, they don't even contribute to their pension.

When did government jobs become better than private sector jobs? It's an unsustainable practice. In the past, you became a teacher understanding your pay would be low, but your benefits would be great. Today, the pay and the benefits are great.

I know a 3rd grade teacher in a small Midwest elementary school making $75,000 a year.
