The article stated that it doesn't know how much ($) SALT (state & local taxes) the trumpstore pays - but they DO KNOW that the trumpstore is only charging sales tax to customers in TWO states (LA & FL.)

I really don't see how trumpstore could avoid the collection of sales tax in NY - sice the corporate hq for trump is in NYC. Even if the web store is not physically located in the state of NY, the ownership structure/corporate governance in NY would likely result in a NY sales tax obligation.
