Your take on this disappointing turn of events reads almost like you've been reading the last year's worth of posts from Mizzou haters on billikens.com. If not for the black background, I would have had to check which site I was on.

I don't question the Porters' motives or thinking, but I do feel the situation is typical for the disappointment Mizzou fans have had to endure for decades. Anytime things are looking up, something comes along to dash the hopes. I don't believe in curses, but this is close to a curse.
