it abundantly clear that it's absolutely unacceptable for an SEC member to partner with the B1G (or ACC) in any capacity. Those are rival conferences, and there would be MAJOR resentment and blowback if we joined the B1G in wrestling. SEC fans and media would crucify us for it as well. It wouldn't matter to them that the SEC doesn't sponsor wrestling, or that we didn't have a better option.

The only P5 league that's a viable option is the Big12. I think the SEC would be okay with that, but I highly doubt the Big12 would want to extend that olive branch. It would help us far more than it helps them.
