fill a roll which was not an area of strength. The Illini fans I've seen reactions from suggested he was the most effective with the ball in his hands in a PG role, and BU had him running around off-ball and trying to make him productive in that manner, which may have led to his lack of production.
Also BU appears to be unhinged on the sideline and not every player is going to respond to that very well. A coach who is tough but doesn't act like a lunatic on the sideline might be a better motivator for some kids.
