He could have played this year but the family chose not to risk it and went with surgery for an injury that had happened two years ago. They played Mizzou and played Cuonzo. Of course that's what it kind of appears like. The Porters are about the Porters, not Missouri and I can't really blame them with the amount of money on the line.
