was just a couple of ordinary citizens I think it would depend upon the circumstances.
If the owner of the trailer shot her after she broke in I don't think he would have been criminally charged even if a stray bullet killed an innocent bystander. Of course, he could still be hit with lawsuits. I'm guessing the police will pay the family in this case, fwiw.
If the owner had come home and was getting out of the car with his family and she came flying out of their home with something in her hand and he claimed he feared for his or his family's lives that he would be similarly exonerated.
If it was a couple of random guys walking down the sidewalk that opened fire when she ran out of the house, it might be a different story.
