It's not like Odom was getting his pick of position coaches and coordinators as a 30-something first year HC in the game's most difficult conference. Then he's spent year 2 correcting what he didn't get corrected after year 1. All in all, I don't think it's unusual at all for a HC in his first few years as a HC to take some time finding the right fit and moving pieces in and out and around. Difference here is Odom is doing in the bright lights of a SEC job and not somewhere in the Sunbelt.
