Branding, profile, whatever you want to call it.

"we're putting players in Alabama, Miami, Ohio State, we're the school you should transfer to if you want to go national"

The best players are free agents, the school, the kids are recruiting them.

these programs know the salary is at stake, if they get players, their profile goes up, they get bigger games, they travel outside the state to other big schools, better facilities, equipment, and so on.

commiting to old state u doesn't do that for them.

I guess I can't judge. I know Coach odom and Mizzou could be tremendous for any of those players, but I also understand the terrible ****holes some of these players grow up in. If their lives are improved (and their graduation rates) by a chicken **** coach pulling this crap so be it, thers nothing we can do about it.

I CAN disagree with the never ending "what have you do for me lately" high maintenance bull****. If you don't want them here, be up front about it. But telling people the staff isn't doing their job, something that is very important to their employment here, that's bull****.

Telling a syndicated radio host that Barry needs to spend some time here when the Dispatch printed a photo of our staff on their track watching their football game just a couple weeks prior. That's horse **** and media should call them out on it.
