Sounds like an apology to me. He was trying to be funny in the pic - and it looks like no contact with Bazangi in the photo - but maybe he was a jerk in the rehearsal. Having seen and to a point followed Al for ALL these years, he seems like a pretty stand-up and decent guy. Used to tour with the Dead in his VW bus back in the day with Davis prior to those guys getting hired by Lorne Michaels.
