One thing I've noticed in recent years at least locally

fewer and fewer white kids playing junior league football.
When I played back in the 70's I'd say it was majority white, maybe 60-40, at least in my inner ring suburb club.
Now when I see the same club practicing it's almost all black. You still see white kids playing for the same local high school, but those percentages have dropped too.
Culturally more and more white kids seem to avoid football.
I've also read recently about how low the numbers at some of the smaller but affluent private high schools in St. Louis are, so bad they are forfeiting games because they can't field a team.
