There is nothing demonstrative that shows Odom is changing the program to the positive or even maintaining a neutral position. This is a business, not a HS football team.
We're experiencing the beginnings of what appear could be long term losses to the program. We have talent on this team but you wouldn't know by how they've been prepared.
Blood oath? 2.35 million a year oath to get the job done. He's not working for free. He had the option to coach at Memphis or jump right into the SEC. He took an opportunity, that has not panned out. And it has no appearance of panning out.
3 years of this program will cement our place in the East Conference of the SEC as a perennial loser. Kentucky and Vanderbilt applaud your reasoning.
Don't think if we didn't have other opportunities in hiring we wouldn't have. Mack Rhodes was negotiating his way out and hiring Barry Odom in a distracted environment allowed him to jettison quicker.
