It's really quite amazing, isn't it?
Take for instance, Dan Mullen. You offer him $5.75 million, you show him the facilities and the SEZ project and most importantly, he doesn't have to play in the West anymore. That eliminates Arkansas and Ole Miss. I don't think Fla fires McElwain and that leaves Tennessee, who's insane expectations would be a detriment. So why not Mizzou at a mil more a year, way easier division with a whole slew of mediocre coaches, no Alabama yearly, and a program who's won more East titles since joining the SEC than Tennessee, Vandy, SCAR, and Kentucky combined? It's not a hard sell.
