Odom needs to be prepared to let Cross go IMO or risk losing his own job due to Cross' incompetence. After having to take over the D last year he should know that Cross isn't capable. The level of unpreparedness today falls directly on DC's shoulders. Short leash and let him go mid season if he can't get it done. In hindsight Odom probably should have replaced him after last year.
