- Pinkel and Rhoades and Ivey listen intently and with compassion to their players but clearly spell out to them the ramifications of their actions and posit optional and equally as effective measures: i.e. a player statement, a demand for a meeting with Wolfe, and a show of solidarity via a helmet patch or arm band.
- Players and Wolfe meet and publicly address the issues of real and perceived racism and white privilege.
- hunger strike kid sees this is going nowhere and ends strike, cites moral victory.
- MU players, Pinkel and Wolfe give public press conference, announce initiatives to address issues and MU and Pinkel are lauded nationwide as a progressive, racially sensitive institution and individuals. Players and Pinkel speak publicly of their role as ambassadors for MU and students of all races.
- MU announces he's retiring because of campus and national pundits hail his role as educator, coach, racial reconciliatator.
- MU football reaps some local recruiting awards and Rhoades, who isn't looking to bolt, hires Matt Rhule.
- bad news is Rhoades stays on and gives KA another year because he hired him and we don't get Cuonzo and Porter.
