...down schematically than Kyrie, if the standard is getting past them, but against most teams, Russ is harder to handle, I think. Irving doesn't really create for others like he should. Russ dominates the ball too much while his teammates stand around, although he does generate assists. Obviously, Westbrook scores more. Either side can be argued. Stevens may help Kyrie evolve.
Curry, of course, is on a whole other level from other PG's offensively (actually from all other players). The advanced metrics back that up. Kerr said that Curry has more impact on defenses than Jordan. Forcing double teams 30 ft from the basket and the constant hedging required makes the W's what they are on offense.
Lillard is right there with Irving, I think. He is the primary focus of opposing defenses, too. He, also, isn't much on defense, however. Taking assists and ball security into account, an argument could be made that Chris Paul is better. There are really good PG's in the NBA currently. I'm a little surprised, however, that Houston didn't stick with Harden at PG. I'd have him at #2 if he weren't going back to SG.
Thinking about it, if the standard is beating the W's, you probably are right that Kyrie is second best behind Curry. He is harder to scheme for. We will see if that looks different without Lebron.
