Irving>IT, he's also young and has more years left on his contract
Trading Crowder also opens up playing time for Brown, Tatum and Ojeleye. All 3 are on cheaper deals than Crowder.
Boston has a more long term plan than just this year, they weren't going to win this year. They now have a young core in Irving, Gordon, Brown and Tatum that's really good.
Boston also has a likely top 5 pick in the draft. If it's Bagley, Ayton or Bamba that's a really exciting team for the next 5-8 years.
Also Brad Stevens is a top 3 coach in the NBA, it will be fun to see how he uses Irving.
IT played AAU ball with Love so the Cavs chemistry should improve
Crowder will help Cleveland matchup better with the Warriors.
James is still there, they were already the favorites in the east
Cleveland saves almost $30 in tax dollars
Cleveland also probably gets a top 5 pick, so a young building block for next year after James leaves.
If they trade Love in the offseason, more assets will come
