geographical boundaries of their HOA, just like any other government.
If you inherit a home they claim jurisdiction over that home wheter you signed an agreement with them or not.
The same is true with regards to pickle. He runs and hides when asked how he ended up in this country. It's possible that his ancestors were Native Americans and were forcibly made citizens, or perhaps were brought here as slaves, but it's more likely in my opinion that they immigrated here and applied for citizenship, knowing full well that they agreed to submit to the laws of this country. The other option is that some or all of them are or were illegal immigrants. In that case, I don't personally think he has a leg to stand on with respect to his insistence that they have no right to impose their laws on him.
With regards to the city that he lives in he would be quite the moron if he thought he could move there and not be subject to their city laws, regulations, taxes and fees. There is an implicit acceptance of that fact if one moves there, anarchists' protestations to the contrary notwithstanding.
