The problem isn't legal protocol in my opinion

It his what does a 2nd year HC do with his first serious incident with a key player being charged with a felony charge. Whether the shrooms were legally or illegally found probably won't make a difference to BO. The kid had drugs in his car that warranted a felony charge and I think BO will have to kick him off either way to set a precedent for how he is going to run his program. He is just letting it play out in court because that is what everyone does, but I doubt BO will let him play even if the charge is reduced because of a mistake made by the police.
