Sounds good. But I'm skeptical, for several reasons.

Sounds too easy to raise the tax, "just a little bit" of course. Meaning everyone gets screwed together and gov't waste with the proceeds increases instead of decreases. And the huge IRS is there mainly because of congress and IT'S tax law. Also, that huge bite and increase in costs of everything will retard sales, at least in the short term. We don't need that.

As I've said forever, the real problem is spending, not taxing - though our tax code is insane. But I have a theory that its hideously unnecessary complexity is an advantage for taxpayers more than not. Because NO person in IRS knows all or much of it. Not possible. So maybe less chance of an audit.

Just a wild ass guess. Though I don't have the guts to really cheat.

I hate myself.
