Completely different scenario. If OU were to leave the Big12

for the Big Ten, then it would destroy the Big12 and relegate oSu to a mid-major conference (i.e. the school would become irrelevant and lose MILLIONS of dollars annually).

As long as the Big12 remains a viable power conference for OU to be in, I submit that the state legislature would not allow OU to be the REASON the Big12 collapses if it means oSu is demoted to the mid-majors.
