Remember when Anderson came to Missouri vowing to focus on high school recruits to build program stability? That did not go well.
Back at the Division II level from whence he came, Anderson has resumed gobbling up transfers from anywhere and everywhere to fill out his roster.
To appreciate the gap between Division I and Division II basketball — and the lives Kim Anderson left and returned to — consider the case of Deitrich Cole. He played part-time for the Moberly Greyhounds this season, averaging 2.5 points and 2.4 rebounds. He and Moberly teammate Mar'Qywell Jackson, another Detroit native, were among those signing with Pittsburg State this spring.
Others include Xavier Adams, a senior transfer from the University of New Mexico; Chris Clark, a senior transfer from New Mexico Highlands; Jonathan Murray, a transfer from Kansas City Community College; and high school recruit Isaiah Burton from Raytown (Mo.) High.
