Including the KHL player teams were salivating over. That was a pretty major coup for the Knights.
It really comes down to St. Louis and Hunt thinking they could schmooze the City of Kansas City into a good deal for an AHL team at the Sprint Center. When it was apparent that wasn't going to happen (something 9 out of 10 people that pay attention could have told you) they had to make other plans and ran out of time. There's nothing wrong with that, it's just not something that's to be touted as an achievement.
Vegas will be fine and I'd actually prefer they stay in Chicago forever assuming they actually have full control over hockey ops.
We're going to start off on a pretty good foundation, we'll have every game sold out in the first season and likely the first three seasons. That's something Nashville only did for the first time this year, 20 years after their expansion.
The front office knows what they're doing and Bill Foley's got the money and desire to make it work.
Playoffs in three, cup in six. That's the goal and the front office is 100% bought in and living it.
