They'll sign an exclusive with the Mavericks in the next couple of days and play it off like it's a good move that makes up for being the only team in the league without an AHL affiliate and hope they can make KC work for the AHL next year.
Either way, the A team isn't playing in the Sprint Center and the profits from the sale of Peoria will be a drop in the bucket in comparison to the lack of development they'll see when they loan players to the Knights for AHL time.
If Kansas City was willing to give a team a sweetheart deal, they'd have had the Arizona Coyotes years ago.
