Liberals, save your keystrokes. I am not saying this is okay. I am not saying it shouldn't be dealt with. This is not acceptable in any way.
In my opinion though it is no worse than calling somebody and MFer, a sucker of something, or various other profane epithets. Elevating a racial epithet to such handwringing and mortification I believe is counterproductive. Bringing attention to the buttheads who do this makes them special. It's their 15 minutes of infamy. Much like the raskol and JG will endure self humiliation to get noticed, so will these clowns.
I think it makes people feel good to be outraged. And then the game is on to see who is the most outraged, the most offended, and the most willing to demand action.
