They act just like our government does in Medicaire..they limit payments to below costs, which forces higher costs through the regular healthcare market to make up for it...resulting in higher premiums. Where is most medical technology developed? Where are most drugs developed? Who pays for the majority of it. If we go to cost control, one of two things will happen...those costs will be forced higher worldwide, or we will see a reduction in innovation.
