First of all. The War Powers Act purpose is to restrict presidential power to commit troops. Repeal it and there is no limit to how long he can commit troops. Remember, it was passed in response--a long delayed response--to Vietnam which never received Congress's approval.

Secondly. Trump didn't commit any troops. Just missiles.
