Porter Sr. was willing to leave UW and cost Romar his job.

You keep quoting MPJ as if you think these decisions were made by him, or that he was in the loop. He wasn't. Here's what happened:

Mizzou fires Kim.
Mizzou hires Cuonzo.
Porter Sr. tells Romar/UW he's returning to CoMo.
UW fires Romar.
Mizzou hires Porter Sr.
Porter Sr. tells MPJ he should flip to Mizzou.

Most of this happened behind the scenes. MPJ was never looped in, and his only involvement was at the end when he flipped to Mizzou as his dad advised him to do.

MPJ even says this in the quote you referenced, that he trusts his dad's judgment.
