ISPs can track and infer based off that data where you live, when you are home, where you bank, what school your kids go to, what you buy online and where you shop, your sexual orientation, what illnesses you may have based on internet searches. They can probably infer if a child is using a tablet or something and target ads to them. Monitoring your
None of that is particularly nefarious. That is, unless they sell that information or if it is hacked.
I think that anyone can agree that if this information was bought or stolen by people who intended to do bad things, it would be a problem for many.
But whats more, at SOME POINT, members of the GOP should start acting on the behalf of their constituents, not businesses that pay for their re-election.
