1. There will never be (contrary to your inference) enough money to treat everyone for everything all the time.
2. If so, priorities must be set. Some ailments are FAR more worthy of gov't input than others IMO.
3. They never are and won't be set because just discussing it would cost votes for the pols.
4. No substantial change in HC will occur (largely because of the above).
I might add that its possible single payer would be the most efficient, effective way to proceed regarding gov't input, but in this country, AND culture now, it would NEVER be run efficiently. Somewhat like even hospitals no longer run efficiently, for various known reasons.
